In reviewing Passage of Time in October, Stephen Holden of The New York Times proclaimed that Callaway’s is “a big, bright Broadway voice that illuminates a room like a ray of sunshine beamed to the rafters...she had the packed house cheering.” Based on her newly released album of the same name (PS Classics), Passage of Time features songs by Carly Simon, Stephen Schwartz, the Beatles, Rodgers & Hammerstein, Maltby and Shire, Stephen Sondheim and John Bucchino, among others.
Seen most recently on Broadway in The Look of Love, Callaway made her Big Stem debut in the original cast of Sondheim’s Merrily We Roll Along. Besides Baby, for which she was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical, she starred in Cats, Miss Saigon and The Three Musketeers.
