This Spring, Cabaret
Exchange will be sponsoring a series of New Song Showcases. If you are
interested in submitting original material for consideration, please follow
these simple directions:
On the www.cabaretexchange.com home page, click on the
word "register" (which is free) below the top left sidebar. Once
you've registered, go to the bottom left sidebar on the home page and click
"web link.' Then enter your name, select the Composers/Lyricists category,
add your website address URL, and in the description box, list the song you
would like to be considered by Cabaret Exchange's for inclusion in our upcoming
series. Any song written within the last two years, and performed
publicly, is eligible, but must not have achieved prominence in any medium. The
song should be selected for it's appropriateness for presentation in a
live cabaret performance. If you would like to submit audio or video of
your song making it accessable to all visitors to the website,
including performers in search of new material, you can do so by contacting our
Administrator through the contact page. The format for audio or video
submissions is stated below. For anyone to view submissions (you do not need to
be registered), click on our Media button on the top left sidebar. As Jan
Wallman has often said "The most important people in our business are the
songwriters." Without the Composers & Lyricists, there would be no
song. Without the music, no cabaret. We look forward to hearing the music. Help
with your song.
A link to an audio
or video clip uploaded on www.youtube.com
is our preferred method for inclusion in our Media Section and by the virtue of
You Tube gives you great exposure for your work. If you would like to submit
something directly to us we ask you keep it no longer than 4 minutes long and
not exceeding 10 megabytes. It should be sent in MPEG FLV or MOVE (Quicktime)
formats. If you have any questions please feel free to contact our
Administrator through the contact page at www.cabaretexchange.com
