"Danny Leary's ON THE ROCKS for the HOLIDAYS" at The Duplex

- November 24, 2008 New York's favorite long-running variety show
is donning its gay apparel every Thursday in December at 9:30 PM
at The Duplex Cabaret Theatre. Take two parts stand-up, a
twist of musical comedy, add a splash of cabaret with
some holiday spice and you've got "Danny Leary's On the
Rocks for the Holidays!" - a stiff cocktail
guaranteed to keep you red-nosed all season long!
This special
holiday series features top shelf nightclub entertainment from national
headlining stand-ups (as-seen-on Comedy Central and late nite
TV), holiday favorites from the city's most
celebrated cabaret and jazz singers, traditional carols mixed up by
musical comedians from the downtown scene, burlesque dancers, ventriloquists
and even a contortionist!
"On the Rocks
with Danny Leary" dubbed "a marvelously rambunctious evening"
by Cabaret Exchange has been featured on the CW11 and was picked as a
"Best Bet" in Time Out New York. Last season "On the
Rocks" also hit the road to San Francisco for two sold-out performances.

ABOUT DANNY LEARY:
Danny Leary is a stand-up comedian and actor
based in New York and was featured live in performance on here! TV's Hot Gay
Comics Live. Danny is a regular comedian panelist for MTV's FNMTV and
recently taped a pilot as a comedian panelist for a new clip show called
Animal Crackers for Animal Planet. He has been a recurring guest on
the nationally syndicated radio program The Joey Reynolds Show and has
appeared as a guest weatherman on the CW-11 Morning News.
Danny Leary delights audiences nationally from the Purple Onion in San
Francisco to the Lakeshore Theater in Chicago as headliner of the acclaimed 5
Funny Fags tour. In New York he can be seen regularly at major comedy
venues such as Comix, Gotham and Caroline's, is a regular performer on
the New York cabaret circuit and has appeared as a featured guest at the
Iridium Jazz Club and The Metropolitan Room. His own variety show On the
Rocks with Danny Leary was named a "Best Bet for Comedy" by Time
Out New York and plays on Thursdays at The Duplex in New York.
