Aaron Lee Battle joins Spider Saloff and Tony Monte - Tues. Dec. 2nd at IRIDIUM.
Recipient of a BackStage Bistro Award for Outstanding Vocalist, Aaron
Lee Battle is one of New York's most beloved interpreters of jazz and American
popular standards. He has performed in many venues from The Town
Hall (the landmark 1,500-seat theatre) to the world-famous yet still intimate
cabaret Don't Tell Mama as well as The Metropolitan Room (named Best Cabaret in
New York 2008, New York Magazine). He has performed worldwide,
teaming with other talents such as Eric Michael Gillett, Tony Monte, Barbara
Carroll, Jay Leonhart and Mark Hartman.
Appearing in such shows as Ain't Misbehavin', Side Show, Hair and Sweet
Charity, and as featured actor off-Broadway at the Duo Theatre and in
the production of The Coming Out Party! Aaron was recently seen in
a staged reading of Return to Darfur, presented by The New York
chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. He was
the resident guest artist at Gunay Restaurant in Istanbul, Turkey for two
years.
