CD Review: More Jobim/Mario Adnet

This project defines the essence of 'Tom' Jobim and his sensuous bossa nova tempos... taking us to other musical  escapes and  places as it were.  Mario Adnet and his group succeeds in earnest in his effort to interpret Jobim's music to a note. His music is drenched in a lovely 'perfume' of sorts... with both melodies and harmonies that manifest a semblance of life blood and dramatic tendency coming to fruition in a certain fountain of expression. That this expression resuilts in an absolute and clearly

understandable body of viable content and work for us.... it has to be stated that the group's effort becomes the burning consuming motive force for their artistic conception. Mario and his group can be said to be truthful in their delivery and unafraid in their interpretations delivering the purely true and definite forms of musical human utterance to our ears.
